Artists

Nothing is as important as to keep in mind we are artist in many ways. Though not all are painters of canvas nor are we sculpters of clay. The everyday person who goes to work and earns a paycheck. That person is a true artist. Without him or her and the way thier brush crosses the canvas of what is thier trade. We could not make it the way we do each day. How about that person who made the program for your alarm clock, how about the screws that hold together your faucet or shower door. Ever taken a shower with out the door closed? It can be messy. So we are in some way artists, so as we need food to function so does the artist need an audience to perform in front of. Give it a chance and see a small band play, or visit an art gallery, yes! get some real photos from a pro who wants to keep you happy.
This world is constantly changing but through time there has been an artist of some sort. Think about the technical advances of today and what was available oh, say, 150 years ago. Well, the artist was there. Doing what needed to be done to build this world.

The other day I was working in the yard and noticed a beautiful flower growing in my pot.
Okay, what I did next was normal I thought that would be a great picture. So using different settings I came up with this shot. I tweaked it a bit for something different.

I was working last night on photo’s taken during the day. I went in to talk to Al, and there they were the Animals. We have 3 cats each one of course with there own personality. I know a lot of folks don’t like cats. So it is one of those where you either love em or hate them. So anyhow I saw them on the bed so I had to get some shots. They of course are not going to cooperate very well so I had to try and fool them. I rubbed the belly(thiers) wooed them and got off a few good shots. Each one a seperate challenge. Well it wasn’t long and they were headed out the door, it was just a moment in time to have a little fun with the animals. Here is a picture of our only female and also the youngest

Do Something new

I was working hard this weekend trying to get chores done around the house. I was constantly checking the clock. I was to take my bride to the movies. Well, the time came (at least I thought it was the time) to go. to my surprise the movie was still not for a couple of hours.
So I as I was literally driving down the street toward the freeway, it dawned on me a surprise would be nice. So I turned onto the freeway, and headed east. My date asked where we were going so I said to a place in Sacramento. Well the surprise was out of the bag when we passed the entrance to the drive in theater. My dates eyes just lite up, ya see she has never been to a drive in. So we not saw a movie but a double feature Star Trek and Angels and Demons. My darling was still talking about it this morning as we drove in at 0230
It was a long night. However, she wants to make this an on going event, So she is planning for next week. So the point is be spontaneous once in a while and surprise someone with something new.

TALK IT UP

Whenever I go out I am going out to make the best of my day capturing what comes across my path. To some what I shoot may not appeal to their liking. Photography does not make the hair stand up on the neck of all people.
I am one however who craves the next time I can make a picture, it is not all point and shoot, lots of considerations must be interviewed before the final press of the shutter release. I always talk to my subject, and my subjects don’t or can not always talk back. Sounds silly, maybe even crazy, but I like to connect with what I am doing. Sometimes it is very nice just to talk to a bird or squirrel as it flies or jumps from tree to tree. Getting to know what you are capturing is getting inside of your shot. What better way to connect than to climb right in.
So next time you go out and make some pictures, talk it up.
